Tulum-Championship-2026

From April 16th to 19th, PGA Riviera Maya reaffirmed its international standing by hosting the Tulum Championship for the second consecutive year. As the only Mexican stop on the Korn Ferry Tour, it served as the final international event of the circuit before its return to the United States.

The standout star was American Dylan Menante, who delivered a memorable performance finishing at 19 under par. His spectacular final round of 63 not only secured him the title but also set a new course record, marking one of the season's finest performances.

Pro-Am: Talent, Networking, and a Unique Experience

The tournament's Pro-Am provided a day where sport and networking converged in an exceptional setting. During this experience, Jaime Sitjar and Martín Rario Aron stood out, leading the winning trio alongside their teams and sharing the course with tour professionals in a field that brought together 156 players from 20 countries.

More Than Just Golf: Culture, Experience, and Destination

The tournament evolved into a true celebration of the destination. Supported by Bahia Principe Hotels, the hospitality and gastronomic offerings were on par with a world-class event.

One of the most significant highlights was the integration of local culture: a pre-Hispanic Mayan dance preceded a showcase of artisanal textiles, featuring 195 pieces crafted by female artisans from over 10 communities across Quintana Roo, in collaboration with the Institute of Culture and the Arts and FONART.

As a lasting legacy, Tulum Country Club announced the creation of a permanent space for the exhibition and sale of local crafts. This reinforces the bond with the community and highlights Grupo Piñero's commitment—through its Real Estate & Golf division—to cultural promotion within its destinations.

A Championship for the History Books

The Tulum Championship left an indelible mark. Dylan Menante claimed victory with a historic round, while 18-year-old Blades Brown secured a brilliant second-place finish.

On the local front, Mexicans Álvaro Ortiz and Alejandro Madariaga made the cut, highlighting national talent on an international stage.

With events of this caliber, PGA Riviera Maya and Tulum Country Club consolidate their roles as benchmarks for international golf and key drivers of tourism and cultural development.
